ALISSA HAGGSTROM

ABOUT

Alissa Haggstrom is a sound medicine practitioner and ceremonial composer whose work is rooted in the relationship between sound, timing, and the body’s innate intelligence.

FOUNDER OF AQUARIAN SOUND MEDICINE

Alissa’s health journey began at age eleven, when unexplained symptoms slowly began to replace what had once been a vibrant and active childhood. Over time, her condition became increasingly complex. Even after environmental changes and medical interventions, her body did not stabilize.

Following the birth of her second son, her health declined sharply. Symptoms intensified and expanded, including hair loss, vision changes, hearing loss, seizures, and periods of respiratory distress. She sought specialists across the country and pursued every avenue available to her. At one point, she was told she would not survive the year.

Instead of accepting that prognosis, she began studying her own body with relentless focus. She immersed herself in many different health practices, exploring how physiology, environment, stress, and subtle influences interact within the human system.

Over time, she developed a renewed understanding of how the body organizes and adapts in relationship to its surroundings. Her sensitivities, once debilitating, became sources of insight.

As her hearing diminished, her relationship to sound changed. Rather than perceiving sound in a conventional way, she began to experience it as vibration within the body.

It began with a single instrument, a Tibetan bowl gifted by her husband, Matt. While visiting a small sound healing shop, the owner invited her to play the bowls and let one “choose” her. As she tapped each bowl, one in particular produced an immediate and unmistakable response: her jaw released so deeply that she stopped mid-note, knowing something profound had just occurred.

When she brought the bowl to the owner, he smiled and explained that it was a Mercury bowl, associated with communication, along with Ohm. That moment marked the beginning of a deeper exploration, one that continues to shape how she listens, learns, and works with sound. The bowl that first spoke to her body still opens many of her ceremonies today.

While living in Ashland, Oregon, Alissa discovered Kundalini Yoga and attended monthly sound baths at a local studio. These experiences, using gongs and crystal bowls following a kriya and meditation, revealed the profound physiological and emotional impact sound could have when applied intentionally.

After returning to her native Florida and settling in on Siesta Key, Matt gifted her a seven-chakra frosted crystal bowl set along with a Level 1 Multi-Instrument Sound Healing training. This marked a turning point. Alissa immersed herself fully in the study of sound, continuing into Level 2 training for both individual and group work. As her education expanded, so did her lived understanding of how sound interacts with the body in herself and in others.

During this time, sound & frequency became more than a field of study.

They proved to be one of the few supports that consistently met her body where other approaches had fallen short. When nourishment could not be reliably accessed through food or supplements, sound offered another pathway. Sound provided a form of support the body could actually receive. Rather than overriding her system or asking it to push, sound worked with the body, gently and intelligently, in real time. That lived experience became a quiet but unshakable reference point in how she approaches her work today.

During her Level 2 Individual training, Alissa began to see the early architecture of what would later become the Star Harmony Sound Medicine Ceremony.

She noticed how the different threads of her life, including sound, astrology, timing, and lived experience, were already speaking to one another in practice. Influences people casually reference but rarely respond to intentionally, such as Mercury retrogrades or the specific lunar cycles, suddenly felt actionable. Sound, she realized, could be composed in deliberate response to what was actually happening.

As she continued her one-on-one work, the connection between sound, physiology, and emotional states became impossible to ignore. Recipients consistently experienced meaningful shifts. Encouraged by this clarity, Alissa enrolled in group training, preparing to bring the work into shared ceremonial space and expand it through additional vibrational tools she had come to trust.

Her first group ceremony was scheduled during an extraordinary period: three major hurricanes impacted the area in close succession, culminating in a direct hit.

The first event was delayed for months, eventually taking place in December 2024, just as the community was emerging from prolonged stress and disruption. When participants arrived that night, every person carried visible signs of nervous system overload.

She had prepared for exactly this moment.

Drawing from her training, her own lived experience, and an intuitive understanding of what the collective body needed, Alissa had composed the ceremony to focus deeply on stress regulation and integration. That evening became a lived demonstration of what she would later name the Energetic Weather™. She saw the reality that people arrive carrying the conditions of their environment, and to be truly meaningful, sound must meet them precisely where they are. In that meeting, sound becomes medicine.

From there, the work continued to evolve. Her original chakra set expanded to include additional crystal bowls, tuning forks, and eventually the layered instrumentation she works with today. Alissa continues to study, listen, and refine her practice, adding new elements only when they align with the integrity of the work.

Sound, for her, has never been about performance or entertainment.

ALISSA'S STORY

It has always been a personal and professional inquiry into what genuinely supports regulation, coherence, and healing. Through her own long-term health journey, she developed a keen sensitivity to the difference between practices that feel pleasant and those that are precise. They are approaches that engage the nervous system, physiology, and emotional body in meaningful ways.

She integrated sound healing with astrology, numerology, Human Design, yoga, and subtle energy practices, not as belief systems, but as mapping tools. Tools that help track timing, stress patterns, and collective conditions, revealing when certain supports are most effective.

IT WAS FROM THIS SYNTHESIS THAT

AQUARIAN
SOUND MEDICINE

WAS BORN

Alissa’s work centers on intentional sound medicine composition. She uses specific instruments, frequencies, intervals, and harmonic relationships, aligned with the current Energetic Weather™. Each ceremony is designed in response to the moment, considering planetary and lunar cycles, seasonal rhythms, and collective nervous system load.

This approach gave rise to the Star Harmony Sound Medicine Ceremony, a structured, immersive experience that moves beyond a traditional sound bath. Rather than offering sound as background or relaxation alone, Star Harmony uses sound as a therapeutic medium, supporting regulation, release, integration, and coherence across body, mind, and emotional systems.

Alissa’s ceremonies are known for their depth, clarity, and attunement. Participants often describe feeling not only relaxed, but reorganized, more grounded, spacious, and internally aligned.

at ITS CORE, HER WORK IS GUIDED BY A SIMPLE PRINCIPLE:
Sound is medicine when it is applied with intention, timing, and respect for the body’s wisdom.
